This major international congress will bring together an international and interdisciplinary community of researchers, including established scientists, early-career researchers, and doctoral students, working on the transitions of forest social-ecological systems in the context of global change.

With around 1,000 participants, the congress will feature plenary sessions, thematic symposia and poster presentations, providing a unique platform to share cutting-edge insights and discuss  the latest scientific advances.

The FORESTT international conference, « FORESTs and global environmental changes: social-ecological systems in Transition » is designed to provide a forum on recent developments and future plans for social-ecological forest system resilience research. Consisting of plenary presentations, poster sessions, and 30 parallel workshops, the conference will be an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas and applications on this internationally important issue.

Institutional organization:

  • The conference is organized by the PEPR FORESTT (French research program on Forest resilience), coordinated by the National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and Environment (INRAE),
  • Under the auspices of Research Groups and Task Forces of the International Union of Forest Research Organizations (IUFRO),
  • With involvement of voluntary regional, national, European or international research initiatives in the field of social-ecological forest system resilience.
