PEPR FORESTT International Mobility Call

The 2027 FORESTT International Mobility Call (budget: €126,000) will be launched on 13 January 2027. The call will, in particular, support incoming mobility, enabling foreign researchers and research support staff to undertake long-term visits (1–4 months) to French research institutions. These visits will be scheduled, where possible, to coincide with participation in the FORESTT International Conference 2027, thereby fostering scientific exchange, networking, and the development of new international collaborations.

Projects may aim to:

  • Promote international cooperation and establish or strengthen targeted partnerships in the thematic areas of the FORESTT program, while fostering better alignment of initiatives at the international level;
  • And/or enhance synergies in scientific and technical expertise between partners;
  • And/or strengthen the resources allocated to specific actions planned within research projects funded by the FORESTT program.

Priority will be given to early-career researchers, particularly those from Mediterranean and tropical countries, seeking training or research opportunities in laboratories participating in the FORESTT program.

Projects should address one or more of the four scientific challenges of the FORESTT program:

  • Governance: Addressing societal challenges in the transition of forest socio-ecosystems.
  • Bioeconomy: Promoting a wood-based, circular, and agile bioeconomy.
  • Resilience: Enhancing adaptation, resilience, and mitigation capacities of forest ecosystems.
  • Monitoring: Tracking forest dynamics to support forest management and public policies.

Project timeline: From 1 to 4 months between September 2027 and January 2028, to enable participation in the FORESTT International Conference.

Project budget: From €2,500 to €9,500 (travel and accommodation expenses only).

Eligibility: Applicants must hold a fixed-term or permanent position and be hosted by an institution eligible for PEPR funding (French higher education and/or research institution), responsible for managing the mobility grant.
